Day 100: Miscommunication

I was supposed to hang out with Ansley today, but due to poor cell phone connections or texting issues of some kind, we did not see each other...sniff...tear...

Instead I spent the day hanging out with Andrea and her cousin Ryan.

We went to lunch at a real fancy restaurant in town, even the ketchup was fancy....

this cup is a liar!

They are silly

Ryan broke my camera...

but thankfully my camera likes Andrea, so now it's working again!!

Day 99: Yawn

So I woke up from an unplanned nap and discovered that I was cuddling with my computer...

My computer had it's own pillow and everything...this just shows how sad my life is...
I'm thinking that maybe 3 12's in a row kinda wears me out a little...

Day 98: Fun Dip

I must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. First I forgot to make my lunch last night, so I had to throw something together at the last minute. Then I almost left my house without shoes...not a good thing when you have to work a 12 hour shift in the hospital. When I finally got in the car I realized that I forgot to take any medicine for my allergies... Then while I as in the hospital I kept running into things, which really isn't that abnormal but people were actually around to notice my clumsiness today. But surprisingly overall, I had an awesome day at the hospital! And it was all made better because it finally rained today! When I left the hospital the yellow haze was gone! All the pollen had been washed away and I was able to breathe!!! Even though my white uniform got wet and by the time I got in my house I was completely soaked, I was still so excited that it rained!

I came home and found some Easter candy that my niece unknowingly shared with me. This was one of my childhood favorites:

We spent a lot of time at the ball field when I was little and I can still remember sitting under the bleachers eating fun dip during my brothers' baseball games. Some of my other favorite summertime candy included: lemon heads, fire balls, and blow pops (I used to get a blow pop and a coke and dip the blow pop in the coke...I don't know why)

Day 97: Ulcers, ostomies, yeast...oh my!

I got to shadow a wound nurse and I'm pretty sure that I walked every foot of the hospital today. I saw everything from pressure ulcers and ostomies to gangrene and yeast...ewww. I feel like I can still smell it all...I'm pretty sure that by the end of the day I smelled like a fungified, rotting foot...I don't know which smells worse: yeast or gangrene? Overall I think today was pretty interesting. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be a wound nurse.
I also got to see most of my classmates who were working today. I ran into Mrs. Grier and her Fundamentals students. I saw their blue uniforms and then Mrs. Grier saw me glaring at them and I had to confess that I was jealous of the blue....I hate these white pleated monstrosities. The only similarity in our uniform is the sleeve patch.

Oh and I've been applying for jobs. Pray for me! It's a little scary...ahhh!

Day 96: Memo # 2

Whenever my brothers and I would go to the beach or to the store and we saw someone wearing something that they shouldn't have been wearing (ie: a morbidly obese woman wearing a string bikini) then we would say, "looks like someone didn't get the memo"
Well I discovered a new memo that should be sent out immediately to everyone who shops in the same stores as me.

Memo:
If you don't know what day of the week it is then you don't need to go grocery shopping by yourself (this one is actually directed at me...but don't worry my roommate always goes with me).
If you can't stand up straight without some part of your body shaking as if you have Parkinson's (especially your head), then you shouldn't go grocery shopping by yourself. (you shouldn't drive either...that's just worrisome)
If you lose your buggy when you are standing right next to it and have to get a Kroger worker to help you find it, then you don't need to be shopping by yourself.

I seriously waited for like 10 minutes for these 2 women to move today in Kroger. They had me blocked and I even said excuse me, but I think they were deaf cause they just stood there...then one starting talking on her phone (which was still ringing...took her a minute to figure that one out), and the other lady looked like she was about to fall over. I thought I was gonna have to do CPR in the middle of the dairy isle...and all I wanted was some butter. ...I guess that was God's way of saying that I didn't need it.
When I finally got past old man river's wife, my roommate told me about another woman losing her buggy...it was rather sad. It must have been a Golden Girls reunion going on in Kroger cause little old women were everywhere and they were sooooooooooooo slooooooooow...

Anyways, besides going to Kroger, I also had class (boo) and then we went to pick up our caps and gowns for graduation! Yay! only 32 days left! ...well 22 if you ask Zach cause he says we won't really do anything those last 10 days

We also discovered that our school has a new bookstore that opened

I'm going to miss these girls

Quote of the Day:
"and jessica learned that she shouldn't tell people that they are stupid"~ thanks Mrs. Sewell, I guess it's pretty bad when your legal and ethical teacher notices that you say that people are stupid...but I really don't see the problem, I just state the facts...

Day 95: The trees have their business socks on

The pollen is out in full force this year and it is killing my sinuses. We really need some rain. Today we had a Hurst representative come to talk about the Hurst Review course for the NCLEX...which I think I'm going to try to do. It's a little pricey, but we did a sample of the review and it was really good. It also made me aware of how unprepared I am for the NCLEX. During the review they provided us with lunch. We even got some GCSU water.

of course I got the water bottle that wasn't cold...figures

After the Review we went down to the river walk to explore.

if you look closely you can see that this bridge is covered in pollen...everything is covered in pollen...

Day 94: Happy Easter Birthday B-Bear!

Today was just a happy day! First of all, its Easter Sunday!

My sister always gets her family matching outfits for Easter Sunday so that they can take cute little family pictures. This year the easter color was green, and I sorta unintentionally matched them...but Jonathan (my little brother) and I also matched! So we took a family picture!

Second: It's Blake's 1st Birthday!!!
So we went to Gigi's to have Easter dinner/Easter Egg hunt/Blake's Birthday

Taylor and I played outside most of the day...which is apparently new for her cause anytime pollen or bugs would get near her she would scream and run to me and ask me to kill it. I had a hard time explaining that you can't kill pollen. I also had a hard time remaining calm, cause I'm absolutely terrified of bugs and I didn't want to get close enough to kill them. I just played it cool and told her that they weren't bothering us so just leave them alone or kill them yourself....see I was encouraging independence, I'm such a good Aunt!

Bubbles!!

I don't know if you can see it, but we colored this entire area with side walk chalk....by the end of the day Taylor and I were both covered in bubble soap, chalk, and pollen....yay allergies...

Blake loved her Birthday cake's icing!
